For a while now my 2000 4X4 7.3 Excursion has been making a loud clunking noise when I am making tight slow turns. Today I was trying to track down that noise and I think it may be the anti-sway bar bushings. Is replacing these bushings a common solution to this noise? Besides Ford does anyone know where I can find these bushings or would if be easier to buy the Hellwing Front Anti-Sway Bar 7640? Also I am thinking about purchasing the Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar 7643 from JC Whitney for $221.97 out the door. Does anyone know of a cheaper price?
You can get the energy suspension ones from summit racing. I replaced them on my truck because of the exact same sound/issues you're having. It got rid of the problem
Thanks guys I actually ordered the bushings along with my rear anti-sway bar from Summit Racing a on Friday.
