I was down at a local junk yard today when i seen the scariest thing ever!!! Someone decided to make there own hack of a body lift!! I took a few pictures to show you all what i mean. This thing looks very road unsafe. I dont mean to bash the guy on the prize of his life but i mean Come on. Tell me what you think of this idiot!:hehe: to bad he didnt have a real truck like a :icon_ford:
That is retarded. Thats even a newer truck. Looks like sh!t. Probably illegal too. Im pretty sure most states only allow 5 inches between the body and frame, hes probably right on the border line there.
I like how the body looks like it is floating on the frame and if he was to get in a accident it would be like a cartoon. The frame stops but the body keeps on rollin lol
even better, did you notice, it looks like there are TWO FRAMES stacked on one another???? He has one frame with the drivetrain, then some sort of spacers to another frame that has the body mounted to it?????
howd he get all the connections to connect back up with out having to solder in extensions for all of them it jus doesnt seem like it would be worth the pita job to get that look
why would anybody waste that much money on it. With all the trouble he went through with that he could of installed a 8 in suspension for probably cheaper too
I agree with a lot of you guys! It looke like he took a frame from something else and mounted it to his frame. Probably something he jacked off a old Pinto. lol
Ok so i was driving around town today and i had seen this truck in front of me. So i caught up to it to see it again. This thing looks like it is about to fall apart!!! When the guy hit a bump the whole thing was extreamly unstable!!! After a few bumps in the road i decided to get out of the lane that this truck was in. As i moved over i seen it exit on a fly over. This thing had body roll like a mofo!lol idiot thats all i can say!!!!
I had a 72 Chevy blazer. On closer inspection I found that part of the lift was hockey pucks and round pieces tires (someone had used a hole saw) to make the lift. I have pictures somewhere.

ok I was checking this out, and heres a thought... what if this guy did that because he wanted to be up that high, but wanted to leave his running gear and a frame on the ground so that (I wish there was a shot from behind) his hitch which may still be mounted to the lower frame was at normal hieght so he did not have to have to fabricate a say 12-14 inch drop hitch with weight distribution for his 12500 pound 35' bumper pull toy hualer?? not saying thats why, but the only reason i could think of. still screwy though LOL. ANd I bet your right maybe his state has a body lift maximum, but if you think about it its legal because both frames are welded to gather as one and the body has no lift so there for its just a taller frame not a body lift??? :dunno::doh::dunno::doh::hehe::hehe::hehe:
I think you all read me wrong, I was definitely not trying to "justify" that concept what so ever, I would never do that to my truck and the extra wieght and all your right it is retarded, I was just trying to explain what I thought this idiots thinking pattern could have possibly been other than to make a bunch of dopes like us sit around and talk about it for eons LOL, oh and that suzuki man I would love to see that thing off road LOL first bump CRUUNCH :hehe:
Man i have seen it all now, If he hits anything the two frames will seperate and he will really take a ride, and it absolutly does nothing but make him look like an idiot. I bet he spent more money on that extra frame then he would have spent on a lift for the body and suspension. Funny and scarey that there people out there like that!
