I got these recommended wehhl sizes off of tirerack.com. Look up the size and brand and type tire and go to specs, and you will find the recommended wheel sizes.
I am not saying that you cannot get it on a narrower wheel, it just is not recommended by the manufacturer.
have you found an 8.25 inch wide dually rim? i havent... any help? if hes running 37 12.50s on a 6.5 rim then i dont understand why a 35 would have problems?
Here are some pics 37x12.5x17 bfg km2 on stock rims. Custom hubcentric 2" wheel spacers from No Limit Off road. I have 35,000 miles on this set up with no issues so far. I am only runnin wheel spacers on the rear.
Well i found some tires that i ant to get and they are 13" wide. I am congident that the will be ok with stock rims but what will happen if i throw them on some taller rims? Willi be better off with 16in or go bigger like 18's or 20's?
you can fit a 35-12.50 tire on a 6.5 wide dually wheel is it recommended NO but possible just some things to keep in mind if you do..you will spacers which has been mentioned, keep the PSI regulated since to much air will wear the center of the tires rather quickly and last but not least keep enough air in them that its safe.
I already have 35's with a 2in spacer i was just wondering aboout running 37's and if it would be better to run a taller or a shorter rim
