LLLLLOONNNGGG STORY... read the bold for the abridged version.
Dolly towed the CJ (GCVW around 12k) out to the levies with my buddy kyle in his 01 Ram 1500. He's got 35's on stock gears and 6" lift w/ a 5 spd. We were going about 30mph and he got on it so I did too... he barely pulled from me!!! I later found out the Ebrake was on in the CJ hahahaha.... On the way home ebrake was off and we raced from a light but he once again took off first, and stayed less then 1 truck length ahead until about 60mph and I started gaining on him. At 75 we let off and that was it.
Got to the levies, he forgot to put his truck in 4wd ahead of time and drive around and the truck got stuck in the first little mud we came across. The ole CJ yanked him out! We saw someone driving along and decided to go meet up and see if he wanted to drive around with us. Turns out he was looking for someone else that stuck. He's in a stock 1500 chevy and he said he can't go any further so rescue mission was on us! It was a few miles thru some pretty tough holes, ditches, pond like puddles and what not... finally got back to this dude around 1am and he'd been stuck since 7pm! It was a stock 2002ish durango buried up to the rockers. My buddies dodge yanked him about 8 times (The 7 times leading up to it the rope snapped *his rope*) and the last time the dude got about 1/2 way out of this pondsize puddle that was about 3 feet deep when he opened his door, hit the next hole, ripped his door backwards into his fender, the dude jumped out to grab it and the durango was still in reverse and the wheel cut and turned and fell down a ditch into the CANAL!!!!!!!!!!! If he hadn't of ducked back into the durango at the last second he would have been crushed by a tree that he missed on the bank by about 6 inches... Now 1/2 the truck is underwater at a 45* angle. We pull him out again, but man was it a hairy night!
We later meet up with him at the waffle house and he buys us breakfast at 4am!!! haha.... Hope I wasn't too long winded.
