Yep thats right after which seems like an eternity I've finally decided to go for it.
Here's what I went with: Pro Comp 6 1/2 with duals up front with Fox ressies all the way around, to include Fox dual steering stabilizers. Tires are Pro Comp X Terrain radials, 37x13.50x20. Rims are the Pro Comp Xtreme Alloys Series 9001 Black Chrome Finish.
What do you all think about going with Pro Comp and the Fox shocks? I don't plan on doing to much off roading, but it will see a little. It was either them or Fabtech, both I heard were good, so because the Pro Comp one was a little cheaper I went with it and man I was a little surprised with the total price...lol
Should be done by the end of the week, once so I'll be sure to post some pics...
I think it will look awesome! That lift and those tire will be BIG, any bigger and there isnt to much difference to me. A little more practical too, ha ha (as if anyone cares about that!)
Cant wait to see pics, I am starting to figure what I want for spring. The Fox idea sounds like a sweet set up!
I had a Pro-comp 6" kit w/ dual fronts on my last truck. Not the smoothest ride, but it looked sweet!!! I had 36-14.50's on it. Could have gone with 37-13.50's, with plenty of room. It's gonna look good, you can be assured. My MPGs were't great, but I didn't care back then. Pro-comp X-Ts aren't good for MPGs at all, and they don't wear good ont the road with our truck weight, but they look good!!! Keep us posted.
i have a 6 with 37's and like how it sits. pics in the sig. i think an 8 is almost overkill. and those shocks will deff make it ride at least a little better
not a fan of that chrome knight stuff and also don't want to shed bad news but my buddy had those rims and both his front rims cracked.bad, we were at the dunes and hit a small sand lip. Nothing major at all!!!! Rims looked like crap and cracked all the way around. Never seen anything like that.
Your truck is going to look good! Are interested in selling your stock wheels and tires? If so shoot me an email at brookspratt@hotmail.com and let me know what size, price, and mileage on the tires. Oh and some pics!
I figured with the fox shocks it would run smoother? I'll have to ask that to make sure that's correct, if so I'd rather get them re-valved before they go on. As for the rims cracking I hope they don't, but if they do that's what they warranty is for...lol On all seriousness I don't plan on doing any major off-roading so I think I'll be good. (keeping my figures crossed)
i hope you have better luck with the pro comp x-terrains tahn idid.. i couldnt get them to balance out for nothing... two of the tires took 16 ounces of weights to even come close to having a decent balance.. sounds like a good setup up otherwise.
I'm hoping by Friday you will. I decided the hell with it I'll get some more stuff, so recon lights and an 08 rear diff. cover is going on. My cover was starting to rust and to me it was an eye sore, not so bad stock, but lifted no way...
looks like you are off to a good start. I had them procomps and didnt like them too much. Didnt last evry long. I would keep them rotated if you plan to get any life out of them. Good luck with and all
It's done!!! Here is a quick pic of it... It's kind of crappy since it was taken with my phone. I'll get some better ones once I get it back from the detail shop...
Very nice looking truck. Can't wait to see some more pics.
