My truck will crank over no problem but won't start. after i wait for a bit and try it again it will start on the second crank. any idea's what is causing this? I have a brand new stancor gpr. I have been thinking that it is either my glowplugs or my lift pump.
do you know if there's any codes? otherwise check the output to the glow plugs with a voltmeter. when it does start is there any smoke or is there any smoke when your cranking and it doesn't start. or any running rough or anything like that?

Also when do you try to start it? Is it cold? Try plugging it in for a few hours then see if it starts up no prob. if this is the case you have either a GPR/ Wire harness short, or your PCM stopped sending a signal to the GPR. I know it sounds crazy that the PCM would stop sending a signal to the GPR but I had mine in the shop for 4 days at Intersmashonal and that is what they concluded after working it over for hours. they traced the wiring all the way back to the PCM. I rigged up a bypass switch. its pretty cool. Let me know if it fires up no prob after plugging it in for a few hours when its bone cold. If this is the case it is the PCM wiring. I will email you the schematics for the glowplug bypass switch.
