I did a search and still am unsure. Where are you guys tapping into for your boost gauge reading. On autometers site it shows to use the 1/4 inch T fitting into the MAP line. However some people say to drill into the intake. Dieselmanors site says you can do it that way also. Which is going to give me the most accurate reading. If i dont have to tap into my intake i dont want to.

I am installing a ITP Overboost annihalator right now will this affect my boost reading if install the T fitting into the MAP line?

If you arent going to run huge boost numbers like an upgraded turbo, you can put it right in the map line, just put it closer to the turbo then your boost annihalator and you will get a good reading, I can understand not wanting to drill into your inatake manifold.

I have had mine in the map line for years with no problem. I have also never needed the boost fooler!! I will set the 1211 code but not the boost code. Reckon I don't drive her hard enough!!

Removing the air intake heater works too... that's what I did to mine, removed it, found the proper metric pipe plug, and drilled and taped the plug for the boost line fitting, 1/8" pipe if I remember... do a search, I remember listing the proper sizes in a post a while back.... this is only an option if you have a late '99 or newer truck... early '99 didn't have the AIH...

Sweet. I got it done last night. I used a 1/4 in T fitting cut a piece of the stock map line about 3 inches put it on one side put the boost annhalator line on the other side and hooked it all up. I just didn't want to cut the Itp boost line either
