Wheres the best place to buy the covers and bulbs. Looked into Recon, but 100 bones for two peices of plastic and some 20 cent bulbs. Is it easier to just get a body shop to smoke them with a shot a paint or what?

Raul@stealthautomotive sells the smoke lens spray. You can DIY it. If my drivers side one didnt have a crack in it thats what i would be doing

Its pretty much common sense. Its just like a can of spray paint

Use a thin flathead screwdriver. There is a tab you move and push the lens straight out from the mirror side (outside end). Move the mirror inward toward the vehicle so that you can see and have more working space. It is a very simple procedure. The Recon lens is smoked but also is LED to coordinate with other optional LED lighting on the truck hence the price. :thumb:

When its all said and done your going to wish you went with the Recon lights. I have Recon everything from Raul, he hooked me up sick.....and you'll be lucky if you don't break the stockers trying to get them out, here is a pic of what they look like, I have the cab lights, mirror lights, tail lights and fender lights, all LED

I have heard some bad things about the mirror lights on the older trucks, but the 2008's are pretty easy
