before you gechip get ya some gauges. Check with Raul he can hook you up.

Ive got 35's on my 250 and at 60 i can get 17mpg. So you should do better that this. Just got light on the go pedal. Take off slow and drive sensible and these big trucks arent bad on fuel mileage!

20.4 on my last trip home 550 miles. that was with the highest level on my programer. Hand figured. About 68 to 72 mph. I normally get around 18 city driving. I try to keep a light foot but its hard at times. I also have 3.73's

My 6speed gets about 22 on the highway, and 14 in the city.

And I drive like an ***.

20 Cruising is an easily achievable goal at 60-65 I think. On flat hwy of course.

Best I've ever gotten is 22 on a tank at 60. But I average 18.5 on the short 10 mile ride to work with multiple lights. My truck is all stock. auto 3.73, 4wd, CC, LB

Hoping for some exhaust and would like something to advance the timing. I'd like to pick up 10%.

Also remember winter is coming with blended fuel and engines that are not at operating temp as quickly. You will loose mileage due to idle time and just from engine being cold., in addition to road conditions

I usually average around 18/19 town and 20/21 highway driving at 65mph. I've got the 4x2 though. This truck gets much better mileage than my '00 Ford Ranger with the POS 3.0L.

Just remember, there's a huge millage difference between 60 and 70.

1800rpms is the sweet spot. Anything above that, and it starts really drinking the fuel.

I agree, 1800rmps is the sweet spot on mine too.

My "gas" mileage was zip!! Hate It!!:hehe:

On the other hand my fuel mileage was great when I first got started on the stocker. Averaged 19-21 mpg bone stock! 23mpg was best I got when I had intake, exhaust and tuner running economy.
After lift, tires and "winter blend" fuel I average 15.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT 45 CETANE AND EXTRA SULFER:confused:

I dont get anywhere near the milage you guys are gettin and never did . Bone stock 14,tires lift 13,tuner ,intake exhaust 15, stage 1 injectors 16 . That was the best ,
Now 15 when I am easy on it and a whole lot less when I m not

Gearing my be the ticket along with keeping your foot hard off the go-pedal.
3.73 gears seem to be the favored on fuel mileage:dunno:
Keeping RPM's down and driving under 60mph.

I made a 400 mile trip at 85-90mph and got 17. I know I can get better mileage than that but I always have my foot in it. Around town the lowest I've ever gotten is 12.5 in the winter and driving like an ***
