Throttle Shock!

$469 for a throttle pedal! Are you kidding me? I know the parts guys are not responsible for pricing but when they stand there with a straight face and quote me an obscene price for a simple part, I have to work overtime to be polite. If I stood there and built an F-250 out of the parts catalog the thing would cost over $2mil. Good project for a motivated parts guy. Start at the front bumper and go to the back, and just see what a single truck would cost with factory parts.

Throttle pedal on the '97 stroke doesn't seem right at part throttle. While cruising at any lower speed, it takes more pedal to speed up than it should. It seems like the engine isn't getting a good signal from the pedal. If you mash hard, it will go ahead and speed up, but with today's fuel prices, I'm trying to be careful. After searching other posts, I thought it was possible to change the sensor. Not so according the parts man.

Love those old strokes, but parts can be way beyond reason.
