Have an Australian friend who is looking for some aftermarket accessories to buy and get shipped over the pond. Here's what he has:

2004 XLT CC Longbed with 7.3 Powerstroke. Truck is Right hand drive and was manufactured in Brazil.

Here's what he wants:

Mag-Hytec trans pan (which one? Assume he's got a 4R110?) and upgraded trans cooling. Not sure if it's different because of the RH drive.

Intake (he runs a snorkel, so do any of you mud-boggers know of a high-flow snorkel/filter kit?)

Some sort of tuner/module to control trans lockup pressure.

Any ideas? Any Ford techs familiar with RH drive configurations? Thanks for the assist...........

You say it is an '04, then it must be a 6.0.....

The 5R100 trans already has the 6.0 cooler on it.....LOL......

SCT livewire may be the easiest thing out there since it has the gauges built into it.

Yea they made 7.3's in fords over there through 07ish I thought...the tuners will have problems tuning a 7.3 with a 5r110 just because its something they probably haven't done yet...talk to jody

i knew that they kept the 7.3 overseas for awhile, i would assume they would have the same 4r100 tranny why would they change the tranny and add to the cost of production and a hassle to change to the torqueshift trans? if they did we need to know how...

The oversees stuff always made my head spin. Other countries have diesel engines in small pickups like rangers and toyotas but not in the good ol' US of A. We get the POS little 4 banger gassers.

I hope you get this figured out. A left had drive powerstroke would be cool to see in a writeup somewhere.

Get him to contact me if you like, I also have a RHD 7.3L made in Brazil, 2006 model, last batch shipped into Australia. See my list of mods, AFEStgII should work with snorkel and DP tuner is no worries either, although you have to go under the inner guard to get to PCM harness bolt!!. Trans is 4R100, Mag Hytec pans OK, for diffs also. Overall, most of the US parts fit, only issue is with 4 inch down pipe, will take some panel beating on the firewall to fit down the RHD side. And if you wanted to add hi flow exhaust mainfold, forget aftermarket due to steering being in the way. Big tip, buy from US, mark up in Oz is way high. Deal with reputable guys, have had no problems with Dennis at ITP and who can fault Jody and Diane at DP tuner.:thumb: My only bad experience to date has been with ROAD ARMOR....STILL WAITING Mikey!!:(

Sorry, my mistake, the AFE stgII will fit, but will render snorkel inneffective for water (good for dust). Have not seen an aftermarket for snorkel unless it is K&N or similar to fit std air cleaner box.
