In case anyone ever wondered...
Since I tow a 5th wheel toy-hauler, and the whole reason for getting the F-450 was because I discovered pulling it with my old F-250 that I was about 1,000 pounds over its GCWR... I figured I'd get a base weight on my new truck tonight.
For comparisons... it's a 2014 F-450 Platinum truck. My only major add-ons are:
* GoRhino Chrome Grill Guard, Estimated weight: 200 lbs.
* B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch (OEM Pucks), Estimated weight: 300 lbs.
* DuraFlap Mudflaps, w/ Stainless Weight-Plates, Estimated weight: 20 lbs.
When I pulled across the scales, I had just filled the fuel tank & the DEF tank. I had no luggage in the truck, and I was the only occupant.
STEER AXLE: 5,540 Pounds
DRIVE AXLE: 3,960 Pounds
GROSS WEIGHT: 9,500 Pounds
