so i have had my ts performance 6 pos. chip installed for 6 months now with no problems. until a few days ago when i went to start it and no wait to start light came on... so i removed the pcm and removed the chip and drove her home stock w/ no problems. went to reinstall it the next day and nothing every time i tried, i got no wait to start light....the contacts are clean enough because it was working for 6 months before that.... chip burnt up? send it back to get reburned or is it junk?
If you mail it to us we can try and re-burn it. It wouldn't hurt to run some scotch bright over the contacts once. I would hate to see you ship it out if thats all thats wrong. Does the chip make any clicking noise when the key is on? or when you turn your switch? That would mean its bad and can't be fixed. We can verify it and re-burn it if you like. Let me know. Cost $0.
i thought about the contacts not being cleaned enough...but it worked w/ no problems for a few months.....and it worked the day befor w/ no troubles...ill try reinstalling again and listen for noise..but i dont think there was any...
I have the same problem with one I just got. It started fine ran a few minutes and died when I was hooking up to the trailer. I'm going to reclean the contacts tomorrow and see if that helps.
Sounds like the chip went bad. Might be able to reflash it but maybe not. I'd send it back to where you got it and usually they have a lifetime warranty on them so they will reflash or replace it.
