ok here it goes i was leaving the fireworks tonight and hammerd on it then had to let off real quick then when i hit the pedal i had nothing wouldn't move then check engine light come on then it stared to run fine again after about five minutes what's the deal?
Probably just overboosted and it defueled. Try doing it again, and reading the codes when your check engine light comes on...and if your sure it is defueling, you can unplug your wastegate, so you can build more boost before it defuels...Theres a thread below this one concerning the unplugging of your wastegate.
Sorry to highjack, the big head wastegate is going to keep the wastegate closed longer to build high psi. Disconnecting the wastegate or shortening the rod(which makes it still look factory) will not open the wastegate at all. But the truck will still defuel when it senses overboost. You should look into a boost innihilator to trick the computer and not defuel the truck. You should have a set of gauges to watch the psi and egt's.
have your codes checked id bet your accel pedal is going bad,if it would only idle when the pedal was being depressed
