mysterious oil leak..bell housing full of oil..

hoping I can get some help finding this leak.. 05 6.0 1000k miles on reman short block.. truck was fine for a day or two then suddenly sprung a leak at the rear of the engine.. heres what ive found so far..

the truck is leaking INTO the bellhousing, in other words i pulled the inspection cover from the rear plate and there is a small pool of oil at the bottom of the bell housing and it will seep through between the rear plate and the trans bell housing...

naturally I first assumed the rear main (new) but I can see it clearly through the inspection cover and it is bone dry, the flywheel is also bone dry.. while sitting still or running not a single drop of oil on the rear main or flywheel.

what Ive gathered is that some where oil is leaking into the bell housing and pooling up at the bottom. the other issue it is slightly submerging the flywheel teeth and it is being flung all over the passenger side of the inner housing..

i tried cleaning it all up with a few cans of brake clean and wiping it all up but its purely mysterious as the where its coming from.. I cannot see the torque converter side of the flywheel. the flywheel bolts are sealed off from the engine, but after looking at the old motor there looks like there is a weep hole in the back of the crank that does pass through to the inner engine, could oil be coming through this and making its way out between the flywheel and the TQ??

I have found that to be either a leak on top the engine running down between the engine and tranny or a pan gasket or engine sub assembly gasket leak but a small one.

Also be shure it is an oil leak and not fuel.
