I'm looking at getting a fass fuel system for my OBS. I'm looking at the versatile Fass 150 system but the best price I have found is around $600. Does any one know where to get the best price for one?

Also the system I'm looking at is rated at 50 psi. Is that going to be sufficient?

Those are all out of my price range.

I am not so sure about that, it probably would be MORE!

You have to piece together the rest of the parts and make MANY trips to local parts stores.

It is really better off getting the complete Fuel System that has ALL the parts :thumb:

But do as you wish, just trying to help :thumb:

I'm running 60 psi right now at idle, so why wouldn't 55 psi at a flow rate of 150 gph not be adequate? I think that should be more than adequate but I'm not an expert so please enlighten me.

What is the flow rating on a stock superduty pump ?

I'm thinking of changing to a newer 7.3 FASS system on my 95. I'm going to convert the truck to run on SVO, so I think I'm going to get rid of the stock dino setup and go with the FASS, then get the SVO specific FASS as well. Two FASS systems will be pricey, but anything worth doing, is worth doing right! I was told I'll want the 80 psi FASS for reg. diesel and a restrictor fitting to drop it to 65-70 psi, then the veggie will run the normal fitting and be at around 75 psi. My truck also has 160cc injectors, which is my main motivation for upgrading the stock system as well.

Some guys are saying it will cost way more to mod the FASS, but for what? Some simple wiring, some fuel line, and a few fittings??? $600 is about the best price I'm finding as well, but my local speed shop is seeing if they can get FASS from any of their suppliers, so we'll see what they can do.
