I'm looking to sell my truck. I'm planning on proposing to my girlfriend of 3 years and I need to get finances in order to pay for the romantic get-a-way suprise and her engagement ring. I don't want to sell my truck, but will do what is needed to get her to be my special lady.

Thanks brotha! I hate to sell it as it is exactly how I like, but you are right. It is for a good reason. I plan on purchasing another one down the road after I pop the question. This one will for sure be a 4x4 so I can lift it as high as some of the others on here:icon_ford:.
One thing will remain true and that is that this forum will always take priority in my days....just don't tell her that, please!!:hehe::hehe::hehe:
Thanks man...I'm almost 34% positive that I'm doing the right thing:hehe:. She will miss it too. But I think she'll forget all about it once she sees the ring I'll be gettin' her:thumb:
i was just doing the math and i could sell mine, pay off the bank, buy yours and only owe like 14k but i just can't own a 2 wheel drive...sorry man It is a sweet truck though!
i know what it takes to keep you ride looking that clean looks like you have taken care of it...if it was 4x4 i would think about it but its not...good looking though
Well I sat down with my future mother and father in law for breakfast this morning. I was asked why I was selling my truck after all I've done with it (including the new fender flares)? I told them that I loved my truck and that it has been a great help to us around the new house we have. But that it was becoming tough making a monthly payment and paying gas prices and trying to save up for other, more important, things. "Like what?", they asked. I just smiled and told them to use their imagination.
Well her mother started tearing up and her father just reached over and shook my hand. And said "You are very mature for giving up something like that for 'whatever' it is you are saving for...and for that you should be commended", with a smile on his face.
He then reached in his laptop bag and pulled out a checkbook and wrote something in it. "This is for you for attempting to give our daughter everything she deserves in a relationship and then some", he says. And with a smile on his face he hands me a check for the remainder of what I owe on my truck!!!!!!!!!!:boldblue::boldblue::boldblue::boldblue: He said that he was happy that I would put his daughter and our relationship before my own priorities at such a young age (21). I gave her mom a hug and she just started smiling and crying and said she hopes she will be allowed to give her input on my "future purchase":thumb:.
I can honestly say that I'm have Someone upstairs looking out for our family (my girl, myself, and our 5 dogs, 2 geckos, 4 fish, 1 lobster, and 2 birds). I just pray one day that I will be given the chance to repay what they have done for me.
So to all you Powerstrokers......this truck is no longer for sale!!!!! :icon_ford::icon_ford::icon_ford::icon_ford::woot::woot::woot:
I thank you all for the compliments and the support I needed. I was glad that people on this site wanted what was best for the relationship that my girl and I share. You are some great people on here and I look forward to many more years of fun and excitement!! I'll also try to "borrow" some more games from other forums such as the "5 Word Phrase Game":hehe:. Thanks guys and have a great morning....I know I am!!
