I've towed various heavy trailers with trucks lifted various amounts. There's a few ways to do it right and a lot of ways to do it wrong, but it can be done. I've towed a 40' toyhauler from coast to coast multiple times and even to AK on 8" and 37s no problem.
I'm in the same boat. People have given me different #s. I have a Trimax 12" drop ball mount that says 10K trailer weight, but I dont know if i would put that behind my 8" pro comp. The only thing I have put behind me was a car dollie with an S10 on it, which wasn't much. Anybody know of a tow/haul max for lifts??
My lift is about 6" in front and the rear is stock springs with 5" custom fabricated blocks. I routinely tow 12k pounds in the form of tools, trailer with bronco on it and it does just fine.
