Hey guys! Been a long time since I posted, life has been crazy busy! (plus my truck hasn't had any problems until recently, lol). Was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me since I'm at a standstill and out of ideas. A couple months ago I took the truck to Kansas for a road trip. On the way back, of course the CPS went out. No big deal, I've always carried a spare. So I can't it, 200 miles later, went out again!! Left me on the side of the road for hours till my wife brought me another one, Finally made it home no problem.
Thought the problem was fixed and no big deal, and maybe the first one was just faulty or old. A week later, went to go rescue a friend who's 7.3 broke down about 45 min from my house, and lo and behold, mine ended up breaking. CPS again!! Changed it, ran fine. A couple weeks later, AGAIN. Then AGAIN. I dont get it!! There's gotta be something else going on. A friend of mine told me it's possible my cam "walked". I'm going to check the electrical when i get home tonight. Also, I noticed every time i change them, that the old one has a fine scratch on the tip...? Had a camping trip planned for labor day weekend but I dont think im going to risk getting stuck on a 2 lane highway in the mountains unless i figure out what the heck is going on. They only last 200 miles or so before they go out each time. Other than that the truck is running excellent... any ideas...?

oh, I guess I should say to, that every replacement CPS has been from FORD, nothing aftermarket or from the parts store.
