I was wondering what people are getting for boost on their turbos. my tuner was reads out 60's psi boosting when i am accelerating and i was wondering what the turbo is actually boosting. i havent put a set of gauges on it yet but i plan to and i just wanted to see what people with gauges say they are boosting to. oh and i have the stock garret turbo on it.

I hit 32-35 stock in the f-250 I had

Before intercooler install with stock injectors about 28, after intercooler install stock injectors about 24, with stage one's and intercooler about 34 and these are all with a generic gold superchip. With a custom burned chip it should be slightly higher.

Mine is a Cali model with 120cc split shots, as well as intercooled, with custom tunes

thats what i was thinking. for those that have installed intercoolers on their trucks. did you buy a kit or piece it together yourself? how much did the intercoolers help out? is it worth putting one in?

Diy for me. Yes it helps especially when towing or hauling heavy.

I am wondering about mine, stage ones, intercooled, 1.0 exhaust housing, Wildman tunes, and I am only hitting 25 psi max, very little smoke and only on the street setting, egts seem high too.
still need to get my 17* hpop in and move the map line to the hot side but it still seems low.
I have checked for exhaust leaks pre turbo and can't find any soot on the firewall.

My 96 f-3 with just custom tunes, 6637, and exhaust only is boosting 22-24 psi at 2800 rpm. I am at the tail end of putting the DIY 7.3 intercooler on my truck and have half of what the cx kit cost and thats with buying new boots and clamps even, makes a guy sad to see his truck just sitting there no front end on it waiting on parts he should have found before taking it apart lol ooops.

I followed the write up by fordman247365/Shane, only cut 2 holes, used chris lahman pipes and new boots/clamps came out great, but my dually is 2wd so spacers are needed for the front sway bar, just keep in mind to read a few write ups before you start just to make sure you have everything

I peiced all my kits together, I have less than 200 in the 2 set ups that go on my trucks

do you have any pictures of your set up?

Just finished piks

I used Tims write up that i got off here theres a thread of mine in here where everyone's topics are i think its 7.3 intercooler write up and e99 spyder help that has Tims i/c writeup in it check it out thats what i used and went real well no problems i am just waiting for parts to show up to finish my install. As far as how much it cost it depends on how much you can find the I/C, pipes, and e99 spyder for.

when you say that you used chris lahman pipes, are those custom pipes welded pipes or are they off the shelf?

Yes stock turbo, but it is a Cali model, btw I'm gonna be sending another chip your way here soon

Chris lahmon makes pipes, custom

Federal trucks will hit mid 20's, cali's will around 30, my truck with AD's would max out the MAP sensor at 28psi.

With my 2's it'd hit 40 all day long, now it can hit 50+ but i limit it to 40ish. But its not something i recommend...
