hey guys,
I have been watching this ad in our local craigslist and the price keeps getting lower. The 2003 with the 7.3PSD are hard to find.

2003 7.3PSD, CC, 160,000 miles, engine runs "rough." Whatever that means.

I wonder if it is a good deal or something to be avoided. You are welcome to contact him if you are interested.

Ford 2003 f-250 Diesel, 7.3L Automatic 4x4 crewcab needs work

Thanks!

Man I would jump on it. 8800.oo. It's a steal. Call the guy and ask him if he has ever owned a diesel before this one. If not. The " Rough " Could be something minor. If he has. He prob has a good idea what is wrong with it, And maybe thinks it would be a big job. Anyway, If I was in the market for a 7.3L It would take something VERY VERY major to scare me away from this.
When you talk with him, Ask how many times he has flushed the tranny. And if he changes his own oil. Plus ask what kind of fuel filters he used. This will get him talking about the truck, And you will be able to get a sence of what " Rough " is in his eye's
SOUNDS DUMB But Make sure he has the title, And it's not a salvage title.
And don't fall for the " I DON'T HAVE THE TITLE BUT I CAN GIVE YOU A BILL OF SALE"

Good luck Man.

I have a 04 F350 FX4 Lariat with 150,000 on it and they said at a car lot that they would give me wholesale for it. $11,000. That is what they say they are getting at a auction for them. Nada and Kelly has it at $24-28K so that tells you how much profit these car lots are making. $8K +. They said diesel is not worth crap now.

I would go look at it. If possible take someone that knows how to fix it. Maybe a simple fix. Or it maybe something very major and cost lots of money to fix. Either way it is deffinately worth looking at.
