Hey everyone. I recently bought a 2001 f250 with the legendary 7.3. Two days after purchase it started to shake badly, then chugging and white smoke from exhaust. Took it back to the dealer and it had two bad injectors. Number 2 and 8. He paid for all necessary work and I was happy to get it back. Then tonight exactly one week later while driving about 50 mph on the highway, bam! The same symptoms. Obviously injectors! Just wanted to know what could cause injectors to go bad that fast? Possibly a bad fuel delivery, like the pump, or if I am having possible compression issues? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Possibly a bad batch of fuel... How is the fuel filter? Maybe the mechanic didn't plug the injector harness together all the way and its come apart. Lots of possibilities, post some pics of your new truck, and welcome to the org!!!

Thanks for the suggestions. I will check the filter and harness connections. Had this thing less than a month and already had it in the shop for half that time! This thing is my dream truck and I want it fixed for good. I love the 7.3 and everyone has nothing but good things to say about this motor. Just want it running like it should.
