Typically, noise is from the ring being too close to the pinion. This will show itself in insufficient back lash. Regardless of who installed them, the back lash and wear pattern need to be double checked before it gets worse.
I had some used 4.11s in my Mustang, they had been excessively tight for so long, even loosening the back lash wouldn't stop the screaming. I ended up buying new and learning how to do a gear swap.
