Altitude Adjustment

Anybody know of a chip that will let you adjust the altitude that your truck is at? I have a 6.0 diesel and was told that all diesels are set at sea level - can get an increase in fuel efficiency and savings if you adjust to the altitude you are at.
Any suggestions?

I always thought they adjusted themselves. I know mine ran great going back and forth across the Cont Divide and throughout Yellowstone.:dunno::dunno:

The powerstoke has a Barometric sensor to tell the engine at what altitude it is running at.
You may have had to adjust the older IDI's but not the new ones.

Edit: BARO Barometric Pressure Sensor
An analoge device that measures Barometric pressure which allows the PCM to compensate for altitude.
