Hello everyone. I just purchased my first diesel, a 2002 F-350 supercab, 7.3L with 66K miles. I absolutely love this truck. I figured I would join the forum and learn a thing or two about these trucks. I previously owned a 2002 GMC Sierra 2500HD, gasser, which I liked, but this truck seems like so much more. Not to mention the mileage is a heck of alot better.
I just thought I would stop by and introduce myself.
Also congrats on your find!!! A 2002 is a VERY reliable year, and with 66k on the motor it is just broken in! HONESTLY!
Start up a maintenance log and change all fluids now so you have a baseline to compare to. Take care of this and you will have this truck for MANY years to come.
:welcome1: Glad you made it! Welcome to the site. I also purchased my first diesel a couple months ago now. It too is a 2002 with 60k on it. I spend a lot of time on here reading, asking questions, etc. You should do the same. You will learn something every time you visit the site. Also remember that in order to learn, you must ask so dont hesitate! Piles of knowledge floating around on this site! Enjoy yourself and again, Welcome.
OOOPS. I feel dumb... I was reading an article about the new 6.4 right before I wrote my original post. Just a little number dyslexia. I love my 7.3. Thanks for the welcome everyone.
Welcome buddy, I have an 03 with the 7.3L and she just turned 50k. I've only been here for about 3 months and I must say the people on here are great.
