I was just woundering if you can change tune from say street to looney without changing the truck back to stock and can you change your tire sizes with a custom tune or do you have to get another tune
thanks
with my personal experience and having Nate's truck next to mine, his is super quick and mine is like 10 mins. The older 6.0s are slower I think for swapping through tunes. And sometimes I go back to stock, most of the time I dont though, But put it this way. If you are going from 1 tune and like maybe 2 weeks later going to another, is it really worth it to just go from 1 tune to the other without going back to stock first?. IMO I go back to stock, IDK call me crazy but I feel better that way.
the X3 is fast.... but from what i've heard it's better to go back to stock then load the new tune that you want... correct me if im wrong?.. i'd like to know as well.
Tune time change depends on the processor in the truck--the later model trucks are MUCH faster due to a bigger/faster processor. The 03/04's take about 5 minutes to change.
And NO it's not necessary to go back to stock between tune changes. It's just a waste of a burn on your PCM.
