what do you guys recommend for and air intake on a 2005 f-350 pds with a sct flash programmer i have mbrp 4in single exhaust no cat just muffler and im looking for more power and better fuel MPG so tell what you guys think is the best one for the money and what not thanks
I'm running the AFE Stage 2 intake. I love the thing. I'm using product # 54-10392. It's the fully enclosed intake. There is another AFE Stage 2 that is an open air, sealed when hood closed, style intake with battery mount. I prefer the one that I'm running... but that's me
I like the AFE stage II same as mentioned above. I don't have the progaurd but I hear a lot of people prefer it. The Volant system seems to be pretty good too. A lot of people also say the stock system flows well enough for what we have but I'm not sure if I believe.
I would keep the stock intake. I had the AFE and it was ok but I was cleaning that thing every 3k and it was a PIA after awhile. I'm running the stock system now You won't touch the stock filter for 30K to 50K. Not much difference between the original system and the aftermarket as far as power gains go. Plus the $400.00 bucks you spend on the enclosed AFE could be better spent on other mods.
