So im looking at upgrading to a 95 Powerstroke with the 7.3 W/ the Manual Tranny. The on im looking at has 303,000 Miles on it but looks like its been well maintained. The price they are selling it at is 6990, but im going to try to get them down to 6 or lower. Now my question is. is this truck with this many miles worth this much? And will it last without having to rebuilt motor/tranny? Let me know what you know!
it would be for me. I love my 95 and the only tranny trouble i've had is MY FAULT. i have driven trucks for so long i forget to use my clutch in my p/u so i was having some sincro problems.
if it were me i would buy it right up but that is my personal opinion based on my experiance.
if it was taking care of it should. my dads has 430k and it still runs good. where are you located. cause around here you can get a truck with arouns 200k miles for that same price. in colorado. just a thought.
Just for a ball park look it up on New Car Prices | Used Car Values - Official Kelley Blue Book Site and see what price it calls for. I bought a 95 manual with rhino lining, new clutch, fair tires, and sagging ball joints with 248K for 6,100 out of Iowa in July if that helps you.
Can't answer the price question for you. However mine has over 330K miles, I change my sig every 10K miles. Daily driver, and my worst problem is a nagging fuel leak. Change one thing and another starts to leak. Hoping to change out to an electric fuel set up in the next month or two. As for the miles, just depends on how it was maintained. Good Luck.

Check into the history of the truck if you can, OBS odometers go to 399,999 then revert back to 300,000 and work their way up again. So if you don't know the truck, it could have 400,000; 500,000 or even more miles. A previous employer's truck read 3xx,xxx and had over 700,000 km on it
It would be worth it to me if it was a VARIFIED one owner truck, but it looks like its on a lot. I always try to buy original owner vehicles, especially if it's an ole' timer that only used it to pull his and ma's travel trailer
I would make sure you check the price before you buy. I almost over payed on a truck and would have on others. Banks go off of the nada price not kbb I've seen several people overprice there trucks on Craigslist and Facebook.
