Rear Diff. ?

What are the chances of my rear diff goin bad.

depends on if you drive it like a normal human being or do stupid stuf like reving the truck up to 3 grand in nuetral and dropping it down into drive.


personaly the ford rear end is prety tough. and you should have no problems running what ever tires you can clear with your new lift.

sounds like your brakes might be to tight. or a bad wheel bearing if thats not it.

could you have maybe done something to the parking brake cable when you lifted the truck?

the only thing that would cause burning dif fluid would be a bad wheel bearing. was your rear dif low on fluid?

Where is it actually leaking from? If your wheel is smoking... check the inside of the tire... chances are they didn't install the seal correctly and it's leaking. Once it gets on the brakes if they're hot it'll smoke good.
