I have an airbag light on on the dash. I was told that it might have something to do with my cruise control, but it works just fine. The airbag light is driving me crazy though. What could cause this? Please help.
first thing to check would be your horn...since your cruise works im doubting the clockspring is bad though. If the horn doesnt work, check all your fuses...if the fuses are good, the clockspring is bad......
If this isnt the problem, there isnt any more diag i can really do without the code, and you need either a high dollar aftermarket or a factory scanner to read that code....
Well I know my horn works, but I haven't checked the fuses. What is a clockspring and where is it located, and also is it something I can replace myself? Thanks for your help Marc
if your horn and cruise work, the odds of it being the clockspring are very small. The clockspring is under the steering wheel. It is the wiring unit that connects the steering whell functions to the column, since hte wheel turns....its a coiled wire unit...
I would guess you have something else going on though...
Hi, I know this is an old thread but it is the only one I have came across with the same symptoms. Horn works, cruise works, radio and temp controls work too. The air bag blinks then goes solid. I had the code read and it is coming up with a B1932 which is 'Driver Air Bag High Resistance/Circuit Open'. Has anyone figured out what causes this? Does my airbag need to be replaced?
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
