So I just got my chip in the mail yesterday and I'm planning on doing the install this weekend. Anyone got any advice for me or methods of cleaning the connection? Also, do these chips come with a faceplate or something so you know what level you are on? mine didn't come with one.

I just put one in about 1-2 weeks ago. It was not a bad install at all. 45 minutes to an hour. Pull both of your batteries so the power is off all the way around. Then on the inside, there is a black box to the left of your brake/clutch. There are two bolts that hold the black cover to your computer to the mounting bracket. If you have a straight drive like I do, there is a bolt way up on you left side. It is best accessed by taking off your fuse panel cover. The 4 quarter turn plastic screws under your steering wheel is where that is if you have not pulled one off. Sorry kind of simple I know. OK, take the mounting bracket off, two bolts, and slide everything away from the firewall. I had to kind of work my back and forth a little. Once you get everything loose and the black plastic cover off of your computer, there is a cover over the end of your computer that you take off. About 1x3 inches give or take. Once off, you should see your circut board. You will have to clean the contacts very well. Down to the metal. You want these very clean as to this is where your chip will connect to you computer. Once you have that clean, You can use a small hole saw or something to that effect to drill a hole in the plastic cover to run your control wires through. Put you chip in after connecting the control wire after running it through the plastic cover. I hooked up my batteries once I had my chip in and cranked it before I put everything back together. Once testing it, button it up and run your control wire. I drilled a hole to the right of my ignition and secured it there. There is a pic in my garage. When you put the switch in, make sure before you tighten everything that the flat part of the control knob is parallel to the floor. Replace the switch knob and the allen screw. Recheck everything and have fun and don't smoke too many people...LOL

Looks like Logan nailed this one! No they don't come with a face plate. On mine the setting all the way to the left was the stock setting, turining the dial clockwise goes all the way up to 140 hp (if you had that setting burned, which if I was a betting man I'd bet the house you did..:D ) I had that metal bracket that holds the computer in on my truck and it's an automatic. The 2 screws that hold the PCM to the bracket are 7mm. Remember to disconnect the batteries, and the wiring harness CLOSEST TO THE DRIVER'S SIDE FENDER is the one you're going to diconnect. It's a pretty easy install, the only tricky part is making sure you get all of that plastic coating off the connection on the PCM. If you don't get it clean enough, you will have starting issues. I was extremely impressed with the power my truck had once I got the chip in, and a black smoke blowin mutha! Have fun man!

Yeah I kinda figured it would start with stock all the way to the left then 140 on the right ( of course I got the 140 setting!). Where have all you guys been mounting these things?

I made a simple bracket and mounted the switch in the pocket at the right side of the dash. I have a pic in my garage. I wanted easy access and that seemed to be a good location. Now I just need to have a custom decal made with the numbers on it. I am working on that now but for now for the switch install I made sure stock was in the 12 o'clock position.

I finally mounted my knob today. I munted mine just to the left of the cubby hole. There's a little plate that I think is for the sunroof that i drilled a hole in and mounted it right there. It is the perfect postion for my hand to get to and I've turned it so much that I dont even have to look for it anymore.
