My truck was running fine. I was park on an incline but had about an 1/8th of a tank of fuel. When I tried to start it it made a small pop that sound like it sucked some air or something into a fuel line and wouldn't start. I replaced the fuel filter and made sure I was getting juice to the glow plug relay. It cranks fine but won't fire at all. There was a 30 amp fuse that was blown that I replaced as well but it didn't change anything. I need help.

I love driving this truck but it's nickel and diming me to death.
have you checked the oil level in the HPOP resevour (allen head plug on the rectangular aluminum box dead center on the front of the motor)?? the oil should be within one inch of the top of the resevour
your HPOP wont be the problem. The first thing i would do would be to just fill that resevour with oil and see if it fires. If it doesn, monitor it close and see what it does. There is a check valve that prevents the resevour from draining that could have maybe stuck or had an issue just bescause of the incline you were parked on. The other possibility is the low pressure oil pump is getting weak and doesnt want to keep up. If we do end up suspecting that for any reason, a simple manual oil pressure check with a gauge will help us there.
Lets keep it simple for now and just try filling that resevour through that little hole (i know its a pain) and see where that takes us...
k, now comes the part that takes some time, and make sure to keep a funnel and oil with you.
Monitor the level of that resevour, especially after it has sat all night. If it constantly maintaines 1" or less from the top, figure it was a fluke....
If it tends to get below that, let it. See if it will do the no start again....if it doesn, we have other things to look at.....
Here's a little more evidence. When I started it right after a shut down, it started right up. I let run for 5 or 10 minutes and then took it out for a short test drive. I let it sit for about 2.5 hours and it cranked for about 20 seconds before it started, but it started. Took it for a short drive and let it it sit for about an hour and it cranked for about 20 seconds again but it started.
I left the small measuring cup, the gallon of oil and the allen wrences in the truck in case I needed them . It ran like it always had while it was going. I'm not expecting it to run in the morning, but I'm not seeing any visible leaks on the ground.
Thanks again for all of your help. It took a lot of stress off me just have it running today for a little while.
Well...I drove my truck around all day today with no problems. It seemed to get better with each start. Hopefully it was just an aberration. I'm keeping the oil, allen wrench, and funnel around, but it seems to be behavin' itself for now. Thanks for your help Marc. If there is anything you think I should check as a just in case, let me know.
honestly, sounds like you are prepared for another "event" and there is nothing else to prepare for...if it wont act up, we really cant diagnose or fix anything...hopefuly it is just a wierd one time occurance..
Sorry for the high jack but This is what my truck has been doing. Its a 94 F350 dually. It has been leaking on the front side of the Hpop reservior. Then the other day it wouldn't start so I filled up the Hpop reservoir and it started. That lasted for about 2 days then it did it again so I filled it back up. So my question is can I just pull the reservoir and fix the seal or is it more involved than that?
