2001 F250 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel: I need step by step how to change the belt tensioner pully that is between the crankshaft pully and the a/c pully..after taking off the belt...it's the pully that you use the 1/2" brakeover to release the tension of belt. Have not inspected it completely but know it is bad. (somthing sticking out of backside & pully cockeyed). Don't know what tools it will take or shortcuts.. Best Regards from Oklahoma City..

Pretty simple, release belt, then using a 13mm deep socket and 3/8 ratchet, remove the hold down bolt (between the 2 pulleys) Install is the same, just line up the 2 dowels on the back of the tensioner with the holes in the A/C bracket. Did mine a couple days ago, it was on an angle and eating belts. The deep socket gives you the right reach without needing to remove any other parts
