What do you think about doing a 1.0 turbo houisng and stage 2 injectors? Is it safe. I am looking into getting injectors and replacing my turbo housing with a 1.0. I know it might be a little restrictive but will I kill the factory turbo ? about how many PSI will I be pushing with an intercooler?

Would doing stage 1's and the 1.0 housing be better?
Any recomendations welcomed!

I have a TS performance chip & dfuser 18K, CAI, Intercooler, 4" Exhaust,
3-4" DP, Shimmed Fuel pressure, & IDM mod. :ford:

i wouldnt go with the stg II's and a 1.0 housing. it will raise drive pressure too much and you will not have the top end capabilities of a stock housing on the turbo. i would stick with the 1.15 stock housing with the stage II's. i wouldnt even go 1.0 with stg I's, but thats my own opinion.

:agree: You would be better off with the 1.15. You would also be better off going with either a Garret BB or a Turbonetics BB. They both have their pros and cons so its up to you which one to go with. You could also run an H2E with the stage 2's if you really want some air flow.

I've had a 1.0 housing/stage II injectors for 80K+ miles on my 97 OBS truck. It did 14.5 quarters, 1.99 0-60' and 408 hp with an old 2003 Dieselpower chip while using the stock muffler and a mandrell bent 3.5" tailpipe. It gave very good low-midrange response compared to the stock 1.15 and lost very little if any off of the top end. It also towed 10K very well. I switched back to the 1.15 and the truck lost low- midrange response. However if you just want it to be a constant smoke show, sled puller or tow 10K floorboarded, then you need a different setup.

The boost is about 32-33 psi pre-intercooler. I referenced the EBP sensor off of the map sensor line so it would not see exhaust backpressure.
