I thought I read something about a 1.0 turbo housing. Does this use the stock wheel and internal parts? What exactly is the difference between stock and this housing, and what are the benefits?:ford:

Factory turbo housings are around 1.15:1 air ratio, they make a 1.0 and .85 housings also. They are just smaller housings that allow the turbo to spool up faster at lower RPM's however you will loose a lil top end power. If you tow alot this might be a good option as long as your not gonna race the thing.

Basicly your just replacing the exhaust housing with a smaller one.

The 1.0 housing is a little smaller than the original factory 1.15 housing. This means the same amount of exhaust gas will move at a higher speed through the smaller housing and moving more intake air into the engine at a lower rpm. This increases torque at a lower rpm and the turbo spins up faster. Good for RV use because of the low-midrange power increase. The power dropoff at the top end is minimal. I got 408 hp/14.5 quarter times using a 1.0 housing and stage II injectors and had over 80K miles on the turbo/;housing.
