Hello All, I've got an 02 PSD, 2wd xtnd cab F-250,aFe stage II. Next move is exhaust and gauges, and I have a Diablosport Preditor 60 hp tune in the truck right now. According to my axle code C1 I have 3.73 gears. Is this bad or good for towing? I'm getting ready to tow a 12000 toy box on the 40hp tow tune, well a few months from now. Any help or sugestions???
Mine has 373 gears as well. Do you have a manual or auto tranny? I pulled a 9000lb camper once with mine and she did just fine. If you have an auto tranny, I would recommend installing a tranny temp guage along with exhaust temp and boost guages if you are going to be towing on a regular basis:thumb:
Hey Deeno, Yes an auto tranny. I've pulled a few short distances, truck does just fine. I'm just not sure about the gear ratio stuff. I would think with the ford "TOWING PACKAGE" that the gearing would be right for towing........Just need some advice
