I see a lot of you guys saying you have diy stage 1 injectors. Whats involved with this. How hard is it to accomplish? Appox how much does it cost? What kind of gains should I expect. I'm looking more for mpg more than I'm actually looking for power. I'm not woried about the removal / reintallation of the injectors, I've done a dozen times. I have updated the exhaust, air and I have the gauges as well as a Edge tuner (going to order the wildmans as soon as I find someone to take the edge off my hands). Is this an upgrade I should make if I haven't upgraded the turbo yet? Any help is appreciated.
removal and reinstallation is the hardest part of the whole deal. get the premachined intensifier pistons and you can have it done in a day no problem.
and yes you should definately do it!! my best mod yet!!
as for cost it was under $500.
oh and i am still running my stock turbo and no problem, but definately more boost and quicker spool time.
I'm not sure about better MPG, but it is a great upgrade. You won't believe the difference. I'm getting about the same mileage, but driving style will be a major factor. It is by far the best mod i have done, so far. The Wildman tunes work great also.
