Hey I was thinking about getting a HID 4300-6000k kit for my truck. Has anyone done one of these on their 94-97 7.3? I used to have a 2005 Dodge Hemi 1500 and when I installed it on them the whole computer system got thrown off and it always displayed the "headlamp out" warning on the dash, and it was verry annoying. Just wondering if anyones done it and how it went
I have them on my 04. It is so easy to hook up, I don't see how it would be any different with the OBS trucks. Basicly a hot wire and a ground, and then the plug that plugs into the OEM light plug. Super easy.
Alright that sounds pretty easy, alot easier than the ram lol. I used to always get the ricers flashing their hi-beams at me because it was too bright for their little low riders
thinking about this mod and was wondering did you guys upgrade the factory harness because I have heard that they heat up so much that they melt the factory wiring?
Shouldn't need to upgrade wiring, mine have been in for a few months with no trouble. A good HID system will need less current. Startup current of a HID is about 20A each, then drops to about 3-4A Stock halogens use about 4.5A (55W)
Your truck uses the same 9007 bulb that the 99-04 uses... so yours would be the same that logan has on his truck.... here is a link to my HID section on my website... i can get any color temp you want... Stealth Automotive. Ford
