anybody have a set/know where to get a complete set or two sets of 2-1/2 ton top loader style running gear. looking to build a mud truck and need some running gear. i live in fla but would be willing to drive far as the carolina's or alabama.
dang thats wat i figured sombody would be wanting for it. im looking for some sitting in sombody's back yard and they're tired of mowing around it and tripin over it.
yea thats the hard part i dont know where one is at that would still have a matching front and rear end. mud trucks r REALLY common down here with that military runnin gear.
If you can afford the right stuff, differential engineering is down your way (Winter Haven)and can sell, rework, custom, or maybe even help you out with a source.
yeah we know the guy that owns that place... those r COMPLETE front and rear ends that have alredy been rebuilt with lockers and brakes and all that good stuff that we dont need.
well this 2-1/2 ton stuff is gonna be going into a mud truck with my dads old 460 in it. i know uve seen the 7.3 twin turbo-ing thread i made, im just tryin to get all my stuff together b4 i go and get my hopes up on building a motor on beating steve.
Check out govliquidation.com
its all auctions and you may be able to pick one up pretty cheap..
I won an extra multifuel motor for my deuce for $200-.
It would've cost 4000-5000 from a dealer.
In the past, i have seen many rockwell's up for bid.
keep an eye out for them, and i'm sure you'll find one there...
