Can anyone tell me what gear is in my 04 f350 CC SRW. Or how I can find it

From the factory there is a tag on the rear diff that will have the ratio embossed in it. The retaining bolt may obstruct your view. "3 73" would indicate a 3.73 open differential, 3L73 would indicate a 3.73 with a Traction Lock limited slip differential.

Or on door pillar. I suggest finding it underneath as a get to know your truck better method.

I checked my door pillar and nothing. There are two metal tags on my rear differential one says "? Oil only" the other has something to the effect of "4A23"

Try removing and cleaning the second tag. The first tag is just lube recommendations. Sometimes the bolt is blocking the important information on the 2nd tag.

Oh yeah, if you're reading 70 on the speedo and 2000 on the tach, you've got a 3.73. More RPM at 70 would be a 4.11 or a 4.30. Although I doubt that there is a 4.30 in an F350, F450, but not an F350.

The reason I need the rear gear is so I can send it to Vivian before I order my tuner. So I guess my next move would be to pull the bolts out of the tags and see if they are blocking anything? If its not there do I have any other options
As mentioned before, 2000@70 is a 3.73. I really doubt that you have a 4.10 because it's a SRW.

BTW, that 10 5 most likely means that it is a Sterling 10.5" axle.

I was typing what they said from memory. I just snapped some pics of the tags. I'll try and post them

here is from the manual for your truck

so IDK WTF no door code info at all ? ,, if it were mine i would pull the cover count the ring an pinion look for a LS and refill with 75-140 syn

there are other ways to see your gear ratio by turning the wheels and counting drive shaft revs

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that 3 on the bottom picture is the beginning of your gear. Unfortunately, I threw mine out when I did my aluminum diff cover. Your gear choices are 3.73, 4.10, & 4.30. I would take it off, take a wire brush to it, even look at the back side.

I got into a knife fight with a hooker in the PI in '73, it wasn't pretty.
