been looking at some new turbo exhaust housings and saw some are wastedgated and some arent what are the benefits of both? also whats the difference between like an ATS ported housing and a 1.00AR housing also i saw a high tech turbo high flow outlet or something. i dont really understand the difference. i just want lower egts no surge and some more power would be nice(isnt it always?!).

Go with the ATS housing and ww and your surge will be gone. The WW will eliminate alot of your surge alone. By the way those are the compressor side housings not the exhaust side housing. Your truck should have a wastegate on it already. I suggest you keep the waste gate.

The ATS housing is on the compressor side, but most vendors sell a 1.00 exhaust housing as well, it will lower drive pressures and EGT's a bit but might spool slower.

Your not going to see more HP with a turbo change (nothing big anyway...5-15hp) You need to add more fuel to get HP...

im mainly looking for lower egts and no surge altho some quicker spool up would be nice. you thing the ats housing would be the best along with maybe a ww and wastegate upgrade? speasking of more fuel would a fass system help much? thanks for the input too!
