I own a 6.0 and love it but my buddy wants to buy a 6.4 and wants it to be reliable. I told him to start with a dpf delete. What I don't know is do you have to have a tuner to turn off the regen cycle even though you delete and put in the replacement pipe? Also on the pipes, with or without bungs? I assume the bungs are to hook the sensors back up to the new pipe. Thanks for the info guys.

Yes...he does need a tuner for the DPF delete & to turn off the Regen cycle. regarding the sensors....i will only speak about the tuner i have....my H&S Mini Maxx does not require re-installation of the sensors...we just fill them with dieletric - wrap&tie them up...i have a 'flo-pro' DPF/CAT delete pipe without any bungs. I think you will find that most of us do both DPF and CAT deletes,,,,,as the CAT will just fill up with soooot and eventually clog. Removing both at once is also easier..as a unit. You can keep the stock muffler if you wish..and upgrade if&when u want.;)

If it were my truck I'd do the blackmaxx package.

It would be the blackmaxx unit, AFE pro5R intake, FLO-PRO 5" turboback with muffler, FLO-PRO egr delete kit (Dirty diesels design, includes new stainless intake elbow to replace stock unit with egr valve and cooler delete kit), and the the dash mount for the blackmaxx.
