Not your typical kill, or maybe not a kill at all. But since I don't have a PSD yet its a start.
Well I was driving home from work and in Toronto theres this one exit that has a real short merge lane because of a bridge support that limits space. And this entrance closes from 3-6pm. So anyways, I get coming down this ramp and signal to merge onto the highway once I'm on this ramp. So I get down and quickly scout my spot. This Chev c5000 (the transformers one ) or something was coming up hard so I expect to get in behind him. While all this is happening, some little camry crap is sitting at the end of the merge lane stopped because he couldn't merge and now is trying to push in. So I look back and this chev is hitting the brakes for me. So I get on the gas so I'm not cutting the **** out of this guy and turn back and the altima in front of me is coming to a hard stop. So Kaboom. I hit him which sounds fairly hard. So I get out and its not all that bad. I have a grille guard that has two rubber bumpers up the centre so those took the blow. We're looking and hes an alright guy and it doesn't seem so bad.
So heres the good part. I just washed and shined it this weekend. We're looking at his bumper he asks, "There isn't any damage to yours uh?" And I look back and theres that monster eye ****ing me. Not a mark. Shinny and all, as if it was saying "Wheres the next car at?!"
All in all I payed him 900 for the damages which included a salvage bumper and repaint. Quite pricey, but I just figured I'd pay the dude and it'll all be a faint memory. Unfortunately it had to come out of my PSD fund.
Thought I'd share, since that was the only thing that would cheer me up after the loss. This was in a 99 expedition.
