From everything I have read, 4" is the way to go, unless you are well into the 500+ RWHP range! Any less than that, and it MAY be less effective. I went with the 4" recently my self for just that reason!
I got a 5" mbrp turbo back on my truck. I love the sound and the looks. I have some buddys with 4"ers and they are pretty good also. So either one will work great.
I hear the straight pipe is the way to go with the 7.3, but the 6.0 is a personal choice. I know that the muff I have you could drop an apple through it without hitting, and mine is the family vehicle, so I kept the Muff, and it does have a throaty sound, but it is still quiet.
It's all about sound and price preference really. A 5" will be just as effective as a 4", but will probably cost more. The turbo causes enough back pressure for the engine, so exhaust size doesn't effect it that much.
