rear diff leaking

ok went out to garage this am and noticed a puddle at the rear diff..
need to know what oil is recommended and how much..
the trucks a 99 4 x 4 with 373 limited slip rear.. also is there a gasket or just rtv sealant? Whats the best sealant to use also..
also i read of an additive for the limited slip is this all available at an autozone or pep boys

there is no gasket just silicone , not a particular brand silicone , just dont use the cheap crap, you can go buy the ford gray silicone which works good , need to buy about 4 quarts of 75w140 and put a bottle of friction modifier in it

yes 75w140 synthetic gear lube. and i recomened Permetex brand. black RTV sealent easy fix.... fill it till it comes out the fill hole

then drive it a couple miles and check the fluid level. ive seen alot of rear difs that need about an extra quart after theyve been driven around.

not sure where it goes? my theory is it goes into the axle tubes.:dunno:
