Well the gauges are in, waiting to get some time to get pics.

I decided Im not waiting anylonger for an SCT so I went to the bank a few days ago and applied for a Visa. Yes I got a Visa to only get my SCT. That day it shows up in the mail is the day I Call DJ's and Order my SCT should be in the next few days.

Cant wait to run looney tunes.... Im so stoked.

I didnt want to get one, but I have to in order to order the SCT anyways. it goes back into a drawer till I find something else I need for my truck. lol.

Or emergency repairs

 Its the beginning of the end for you my friend... The plastic's way too convenient and there's always something you "need" for your truck! It seems like my visa always has a "rolling" balance, about the time I'm paying it off I find another excuse to run it up again. Hmmnnn..... Now that you mention it, its time to go shopping. :D

the heck with a credit card. i tried that, stared off using it for tires and rims, then bought a stero, then speakers, and then....... i will not be doing that again. it has crossed my mind though. good luck

pay it off? wtf is that? If you ain't in debt you aren't Living! It's my reason for getting out of bed in the mornings. Just look at all the poor people in the mortage business that are without a job now b/c of foreclosures. You cant take it with ya and no sence in letting letting your kids spend your money when you can buy toys and tuners and chips and sacks and tire and rims and ect. ect. ect.

BMILLER!!! ur crazy man , dont go overboard with the credit card. ask for a 500 dollar limit and max it out. you dont need friggin 3500 dollar limit. Nothing wrong with buying stuff but heed the warnings of the man with empty pockets!!

p.s. I am the man with empty pockets, along with a few million more men in the USA

oh belive me, i am in enough debt, but i dont need cc debt to tack on to it

man you guys are nutts, we paid off our debt 2 years ago, only owe on the house and the trucks, the rest is ours.

Here is the deal that people fail to see, the interest you pay every month is enough to buy the toys you want, you may have to wait a month or two but once you buy it, its yours. No more paying for a TV you bought 6 months ago.

Exactly what my wife and I are shooting for - once I get the house remodel finished - we are refinancing and since we only owe $30K on the house and it will be work $80K - we will pay off every piece of debt we have!! Then will just have the house and utilities and will definately NOT be making the credit mistakes a second time around!

Debt free sure would be nice! Even if I just had my house payment WOW!

pfffffff - nah... Mod the truck ;) and boat, and 5th wheel... umm build a shop, put up a fence, continue working on the house, save for kids college, vacations, etc. Did I miss anything? :p

Sorry I forget that sarcassium cannot be heard in emails. Dude I got a 8k credit limit from discover the other day and immediately called to tell them no thanks b/f my wife saw it. I am actually getting ready to do a course at church from dave ramsey. I suppose most of you guys know who that is, so I can get debt free. Sorry no more mods for me. Oh wait I do have that secret account!:thumb:

I WAS planning on being out of debt in 18-24 months after I get out of the Navy, until the tranny went last week. I can still do it, but it's going to be harder than life is now. I will be MOSTLY out of debt by Jan 09 though. I'll still have the truck payment and one other loan.!

You can can always go bankrupt, every 7 isnt it. Oh wait not on cc anymore. That blows!

Here is the crazy part about being debt free,
your BIN or Fica scores actually drop without having revolving credit card accounts.
We have more spendable income than ever and a decent savings.

The CC companies want to keep you in deby hence the catch 22

TX - that is the truth - its amazing!!!

Hell, my credit is in the POOPER b/c we have some Med bills from the first baby that are in collections :( I would love to pay them off, but am working on it slowly..

as for everything else - I have GREAT payment history, but my debt to income ratio is waaaaay scewed toward the debt side :D Soo, that = sucky credit... with that said, still got a loan for our 01 F250 under 10% in interest (but will be paid off in a few months once the house is done ;))

I still live at home, Thank god Im only 19 with the worlds best parents.

However they didnt buy me the truck, and they wont buy upgrades. those are all things I have to do on my own. but hey I knew that when I signed the loan to buy my truck.

Felt like I signed my life and money away.

Ive been working fulltime as an heavy equipment operator since 17. ( I graduated early, but have grown up around equipment my entire life.)

Started saving money and now I have the truck I wanted, even If i still have 24K left to pay off. considering I payed 36k for it in december 06, Ive payed a hefty amount off I think?

But I couldnt of done it without advice from my mom and dad on saving.

bit about them, they both invest in realestate alot, mainly building and selling new homes. My mom managed a bank for over 30 years, and is now a mortgage broker. my dad well hes a truck driver lol.... whos the gold digger in this marrige???? hahaha.

But yes after I order the sct, when ever my card shows up, im going to pay it off, the 400 plus shipping since Im in canada. I will then cut it up and burn the pieces.

Im 19 but my parents didnt buy my truck nor do they put fuel in it and they dont pay for insurence, thats all under my name and comes out of my pocket.. some times I wish they did pay for it, lol then I would have some money... bloody fun trucks hey. Cant imagine life with out it.

Hey you got my respect:thumb: Your much better off in the long run by paying your own way. Gives you the chance to understand the value of money and what it takes to buy things you want:)

Well I just got off the phone with the credit card company.

Iam approved, they gave me a limit of 5000 right off the get go!
Apparently I have good credit for my age......

The perks of this card are

(Alaska Air Credit card)

For every $1 I spend I get 1 Airmile.
I get 5000 airmiles for being approved and I get another 2000 airmiles because I applied online.

so theres 7000 airmiles and I havnt spent a dime.

plus I got the credit protection insurence, incase I am involunterly unemployed, or sick and cant make the payment it will pay for me.

however its still a credit card and I wasnt really wanting to have a 5000 dollar limit. I was thinking 1000 would be nice.

But if your looking at or wanting to change the card switch to this one.

I didnt get asmany point as an american cit, would they offer much more airmiles to you guys. Lucky! I think they start at 10,000 and go up from there.

well 2 weeks to go and I will be ordering my SCT. cant wait for the card to show up so I can call up DJ's for the SCT!!!!
