6.0 L prob

Hey everybody, I got an 04 F250 6.0L I am having trouble with my coolant overflowing out of my reservoir. I hear everyone talking about head gaskets. Is there anyway I can diagnose this myself or do I just have to put in the shop. Also how much is this going to cost? I do have some mods and my coolant over flows pretty regular but especially under a load. I.E. race or pulling boat.:confused:

:welcome1: to the ORG. You are talking about everyones favorite...PUKING :lol: Just because your truck is puking, does not mean that you have blown HG. First check to see how full your degas bottle is. It should be at the min line and not the max line when full. You can also try and get a new bottle cap for the degas bottle. If they does not work, look around your HG and see if anything is pushed out or leaking around the heads. I have head studs, and I still puke all of the time. Best way to stop it is with an EGR block off plate. That way you don't have to worry about it flash boiling. Good luck and welcome.

Thanks for the info. I checked my coolant and its right below the min line so Im not gonna add any and drive it and see what happens. I also am gonna get a new cap, this is prolly the cheapest theing to trouble shoot at this point. One more question. When I take off under pressure my rear end shutters pretty bad. But under normal driving it is ok and I hear no wining. Do you advise to put additive in the rear end?:noteworthy:

logans right on the preliminary checks on your puking issue , on the shudder on take off , add friction modifier , but you may also have a driveline shudder ,and may have to move your center drivehshaft support up or down a little to try and eliminate that concern
