That is a good sign. So why do you think it is your shock? Is it loose?
Next step for me would be to throw a jack stand under each side of the axle and get the truck up in the air. Then grab and feel everything, turn the wheel , watch it. See what you can find.
i will try that today, but i think its that because i believe that they are the original shocks on there and the truck has 122,000 miles on it. if its not that what else do you guys think it could be?
Mine made a banging noise right under my feet when hitting bumps. The sway bar end links were bad and putting new ones in only helped the noise a little. The sway bar bushings where the bar bolts to the axle were the problem. They were bad but didn't obviously look like it. Get the new bushings. I think I got them for $13 at Autozone. Helped a ton.
i was the bushings on the swaybar links, whick ones from autozone did you get, they have like 4 different ones there. On the way there my radiator cracked, so now i have another problem. anybody know where to get one for a deicent price?
I just got new whole end links from Napa. I could not get the bushings out just to replace them. The bushings where the sway bar itself is bolted to the axle I just got the cheapest ones the zone had.
My buddies at the dealership wait my hub was trying to lock in randomly and the bushings are shot. Don't need swaybars any way.
