Well I pulled the codes on my truck today and got P0401-EGR insufficiant flow, P0528-fan speed sensor circut no signal. Installed my Edge CS and had a ECT around 180-186 highest it got was 190. My EOT hit a high of 224 while the ECT was at 182 driving on interstate doing 70. I was nearly ****ting myself while looking at this. Truck ran no different then it normally does and no smoke. I get no check engine light either. I am assuming oil cooler but the fan speed sensor had me wondering. At first I didnt think about it but I have heard it kick on when at idle when I first start it up. It will come and go and this is when its not warmed up or anything.

Also forgot to mention it pulled a U0306 code something to do with low voltage with FICM or something which this wasnt on there when I checked the codes the first time it showed up a couple hours later.

Need to pull the egr valve and look at it have you ever had it out.
EGR cooler and oil cooler plugged.
t/stat is stuck open Ford stock t/stat strarts to open at 192.2* and is fully open at 219.2*
Fan should come on at about 212* need to get it check before you pop the oil cooler and have a big mess then the price just goes up.
weak or bad batteries will cause the ficm to go bad.

Pulled egr valve less then 2k miles ago. Batteries are brand new. Now when I pull codes the only one it shows is u0306. The edge cs says its a software failure or something. What is a safe oil temp when its hot. I read somewhere when pulling it can get to 220 or so. I just drive truck to work and in town which it only hit 224 that one time cause I put it on the highway to check my temps.

U0306 softwear incompatibility with the FICM did you change the ficm :dunno:
I have had my ECT 218* a EOT 228* pulling my 14k 5er in 90* weather on a 6% grade 6 miles long. I have read of oil temps 245* but thats when the :shifan:

Nope haven't touched the ficm. Good thing winter is coming up so I can still do short drives until I get money to fix it all.
