Its 9hrs labor... Figure $100 an hour... Parts for stock oil cooler, egr cooler, gaskets and hardware prob round $800. So looks like it should be round $2000. Going with OE parts?
Oops sorry didnt see the egr delete in your sig... So oil cooler and gaskets parts and labor for stock oil cooler prob round $1500 should be about right.
Sounds a bit much to me... I have a guy that is going to do all the bullet proofing for me, Studs Delete oil cooler all the gaskets updated SCT, oil screen... Everything 1500 Labor.
Well labor time out of the book for the head gaskets is like 25hrs. So typical shop rates in my area are around $100 bucks an hour. I guess if someone has it done on the side or away from a shop you could see less cost in labor...
Yea ,but I had access to a shop at that time and was able to Slip away from work a few hours each day till it was done ... and had a spare vehicle to drive while working on mine ..
I don't have that luxury anymore and figure a days work missed would be overtime @ close to $400 cooler is say $300 thats 700 so far if I do it myself
was in your same situation in the spring.......got qoutes all over the place. Ended up doing a full oil cooler rebuild myself. Trust me if you can do an EGR delete you can do the oil cooler rebuild. See if you can bum a ride a few days to work or just wait until you have adequate time off from work.
I would HIGHLY recommend buying the overhead creeper though, no more sore chest from leaning on a boat cushin, lol.
whats you delta?
